BLOGGER (BLOG)
Presentation
1.
A
blog is an online journal or informational website displaying information in
the reverse chronological order, with latest posts appearing first. It is a
platform where a writer or even a group of writers share their views on an
individual subject. A blog articles tend to be accompanied by photos, videos,
sounds and even animations and graphics that illustrate the subject much
better.
In short, a blog is a space on the Internet which you can use to express
your ideas, interests, experiences and opinions.
Most blogs include some standard features and structure. Here are common
features that typical blog will include:
- Header with the menu or navigation bar
- Main content area with highlighted or latest blog posts
- Sidebar with social profiles, favorite content, or call-to-action
- Footer with relevant links like a disclaimer, privacy policy,
contact page, etc.
Way of use
2.
The
use of new technologies in information has been very important for the human
being, since it has allowed it to develop in many aspects and one of these is
educational, we have gone from a traditional education to a more active where
the interaction that students have with the different tools of the web is
essential and where this interaction allows students to advance their knowledge
and develop special skills.
The use of blog contributes to the personal training of its users
because students create their own knowledge, education is no longer focused
only on the acquisition of knowledge, but on the continuous personal training
and communication has become an aspect fundamental of new teaching on the
Internet.
On the other hand for the educator can serve as a window of information
and opinion about the subject or elements of their field of work and for
students as a forum of opinion and window to show their progress in a
particular activity or subject.
3.
Blogs
are a means of disseminating content of great importance on the Internet, which
provide not only information but have also been consolidated as a place to
debate between visitors and subscribers, the blogs have great potential, both
in the educational field as in our daily life. It can be easily adapted to any
teaching methodology, allowing the person who uses it to learn and develop
their intellectual capacity.
Blogs are one
more resource available to teachers to transmit knowledge and at the same time
learn from students and feedback, is a very dynamic resource, which possibly
please students for the ease of communication, availability and comfort offered.
Knowing how to use this tool can become a useful ally, facilitator of the
teaching and learning of students.

Web 2.0 FACEBOOK
Presentation
Facebook is a social network that was born at Harvard
University as a way of communication between students. They by this means
shared information in a fluid way. This project was novel and began to spread
in several countries reaching millions of users today. Nowadays it is used in a
different way to its origins.
Way of use
This tool can be used to teach. It is a mechanism to
publish information and allows you to create links and share them. From
Facebook we can communicate immediately with anyone. In English teaching, it
helps us to access different online courses, it helps us to contact people who
speak this language. Through messaging and access to videos we can practice the
skills that are required for the language. The devices that are used for this
tool are above all, smart phones and computers. It is worth noting that
instragram and washapp were purchased by Facebook.
The importance of using this
tool
Using Facebook is necessary because it communicates
with the whole world and with all kinds of people. Facebook allows us to be
informed and keep alert about the topics that interest us. It is also useful to
access educational information and to contact people who can help us in
education. For me personally, Facebook serves me for dispersion, to share with
friends, to be informed, to know the information and to access topics of my
interest. In the learning of the English language it has been a fundamental
tool.

YOUTUBE
Presentation
YouTube is a
video sharing service where users can watch, like, share, and comment and
upload their own videos. The video service can be accessed on PCs, laptops,
tablets and via mobile phones. The main functions of YouTube are: users can
search for and watch videos, create a personal YouTube channel, upload videos
to your channel, like/Comment/share other YouTube videos, users can
subscribe/follow other YouTube channels and users, create playlists to organize
videos and group videos together.
Way of use
Conventional
teaching tools have changed dramatically over the past several decades. Schools
have gone from blackboards and chalk to whiteboards with dry erase markers —
and in some places, from thick textbooks for every single subject to laptops
that place a vast world of current, up-to-date information at students’
fingertips.
One of the
latest developments in the education world is the growing use of YouTube, the
popular video sharing Web site where any user can upload and share videos of
every possible kind.
Importance
It is really easy to
integrate.
Adding YouTube videos to your eLearning course is an easy task, due to
the variety of authoring tools and learning management systems out there. You
can use YouTube videos to introduce a topic, explain an online activity,
motivate your learners, or simply extend the information conveyed by your
eLearning course.
It can be used to create an
eLearning community.
As you have probably seen for yourself, everyone has a voice in YouTube.
Using it as a social learning platform offers you the opportunity to build a
strong eLearning community where everyone can comment, contribute, and share
their opinions and ideas.
It generates and promotes
online discussion.
E-Learning videos are particularly effective facilitators for analysis.
After viewing a YouTube video, you can encourage online discussion by asking
your learners to add their personal insights: What did they like about the
video? Was there anything they didn’t understand? How did the eLearning video
relate to their personal experiences and feelings? You can also ask them to
share other YouTube video references to extend online discussions, as video
enhanced eLearning courses increase interest and engagement levels by
presenting different perspectives.

WIX
There are
seemingly thousands of different ways to build a website now. Wix is oe of the
best-known brands in the website builder product type. They’ve been around for
quite a while (circa 2006), and have built a large word-of-mouth brand.
In March 2012,
Wix launched a new HTML5 site builder, replacing Adobe Flash technology. The
existing sites built in Flash continued to be supported, but all new clients
were directed to the new HTML5 platform.
Wix was founded
in 2006 by Israelis Avishai Abrahami, Nadav Abrahami and Giora Kaplan. The
company, headquartered in Tel Aviv, with offices in Be'er-Sheva, San Francisco,
New York City, Dnipro, Kiev, and Vilnius, is backed by investors Insight
Venture Partners, Mangrove Capital Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, and
Benchmark Capital.
Advantages:
This is an
online application that helps people to create good resources related to web
pages. It has many advantages, and one of them is that it is free and everybody
can create their own site, and it looks like a professional one.
No technical
knowledge is required
The sites are
100% compatible with search engines
It offers a wide
range of templates, but you can also create your site from scratch.
The web pages of
Wix are completely free.
It also offers a
series of premium plans that give our users access to extra features such as
connecting a domain name, eliminating Wix advertising and getting more storage
and bandwidth.
Why to use it?
The principal
reason and the most imporatnt is because it allows people to create nice and
well-looknig web pages, and that all of this is just for free. Or if the person
wants something more personalized he/ she can pay to get more benefits. But its
appearance is just awesome; it has so many tools so that you can modify it as
you like it. Wix’s backend and overall
design are functional at the core. But they’ve also cleaned up many of the
edges to make it “prettier” while retaining a wealth of functions on a single screen.
As we’ll see in
the cons section, professional marketers will still have significant
reservations about Wix. However – in some ways that misses the main pro about
Wix – they are investing in being simple and easy for the DIY website owner who
needs something that just works.

WORDPRESS
